Electrolysis
Electrolysis is regarded as the safest and most reliable method of permanent hair removal that can be used for all skin and hair types.
Treatment requires regular, repeated sessions, often over many weeks and months, during which time hair regrows softer, finer and more slowly, until eventually it stops growing permanently.
Charlotte uses the thermolysis method of electrolysis which involves the use of a mild, heat producing electrical current known as short wave diathermy. A very fine needle is inserted into the skin and the heat is used to destroy the individual hair follicles.
Charlotte uses Sterex® electrolysis equipment and needles.
Electrolysis is available at both London and Hampshire locations.
IPL Laser
Intense Pulsed Light offers significant reduction of hair growth which is most suitable for pale skin types with darker hair.
Treatment requires regular, repeated sessions, usually every 4 - 6 weeks, during which time hair regrows softer, finer and more slowly. Unlike electrolysis results are not guaranteed to be permanent.
IPL is not true Laser but uses natural light that is filtered and pulsed in order to make it act in the same way as Laser. The light is directed at the skin to target dark pigmentation at the root of the hair and the destructive energy produced by the light disables each hair follicle.
Charlotte uses a Lynton Excelight® system.
IPL is only available in London.
